My mothers name was Victoria (nickname VICKI). She was interested in China as a child and wanted to be a writer. She went to college 1 year and had to quit when her father died. She later went to nursing school and became a nurse. I have also been interested in China since a child of 8 and have followed Chinese history all my life. My mother encouraged me to go to college and was my mentor and greatly helped me in developing the correct habits of study and hard work that helped me get through college where I studied Business Administration and then became a computer analyst. I have retired after 44 years as a computer analyst and have been able to live a much better life for having worked hard and gotten through college. Do whatever it takes to get through college and have a wonderful life.
