PhoenixGirl's blog
I'm
pretty sure at one point in time that I had decided not to write about
romance or guys on this blog, but well, I think it's an important part
of the journey. I hadn't given it all that much thought as of late
because I don't really wanna make "plans" on who to fall in love with.
Something that tends to happen to me a lot is I'll become attracted to
a guy from one or two specific qualities and look for others that are
on my "list." In doing so, I become attracted to those qualities and
not necessarily the guy. So I guess that's why I hadn't bothered
thinking too much about it, but at the same time, if I ignore it, I'm
just gonna be confused for life.
I had thought about making this entry cute, like "1 cup X, 2 tbsp Y, etc," but it really just doesn't work that way. O.o ha.
So
my perfect guy is definitely a leader, and a man completely lost in
Jesus. He'll have his ups and downs like any other person because he's
as much flesh as I am. He'll have moments where he's mature and tough
as well as moments where he's a total kid and completely innocent.
Looking back, that seems to be the quality I look for most next to
leader (and Christian, of course).
Seeing little boy qualities
like getting excited because I said, "I like you," or when I cook him
food really makes me happy... not that I'd actually experienced that in
life, but positive reactions work well with me, and it'll make me feel
ultra special.
Over the summer, I dived deeper into my love
languages, and we think that I might be all of them. Physical touch,
Gifts, Quality time, Acts of Service, and Words of Encouragement. I
give some better than I receive and I receive some better than I give,
but I am able and more than willing and happy to both give and receive
a gift.
I guess I'm going to keep the core at that.
Key ingredients:
Christian
leader
mature yet goofy
firm yet innocent
I can live without sprinkles on my cupcake, and I can make do without excessive amounts of flavoring in my food.
look at me. I'm comparing a boy to a meal. O.o hahahahaha. dang.
but one more thing...
... and they lived happily ever after.
